Politician

Nathanael is hard at work tonight making his poster for the class office he is running for. He came up with the slogan "Roth is no sloth" and has a picture of himself from Yellowstone and a picture of a sloth with a line through it.  He is running for 3rd grade class representative.  The election with be later this week.

Final

Well, close but no cigar. Cowboys lose their first game of the season to Nebraska 38-14.  The line of traffic on I80 tonight heading east bound is epic. One long string of tail lights the entire way to Cheyenne.

End of 3rd

Huskers starting to roll, winning 24-7.  Full house of over 32,000 tonight...bet there is going to be a traffic jam of epic proportions.

End of 1st

Cowboys looking tough, but give up an easy 7 to the Blackshirts and are down 7-0. Crowd is spilt about 50/50 tonight.

Cowboys!

Made it to Laramie for the Wyoming vs. Nebraska game!! Great seats in section 21.  Let's go Pokes!!

Halftime

Pokes playing tough and put a touchdown on the board, only down 14-7.  Husker fans are strangely quiet. Jim having fun.

Winning

Sarabeth had a great day winning tickets and traded 63 of them for the Cat in the Hat! Look at those red cheeks. She must get those from her dad.

Harvest Festival-Sarabeth

Another really warm day in Greeley, almost 90, while Sarabeth waits in line to play a game. Winning tickets!!

Harvest Festival-Nathanael

The family is having a great time today at Frontier's annual Harvest Festival. Games, food, an auction, and book fair are among todays activities. Nathanael was having a great time until he got a wasp sting on his cheek. Thankfully grandma Roth is in town and used her school nurse skills to get the stinger out. Pizza helps too.

Sarabeth

Someone is ready for Christmas with those Santa socks she was rocking on the way to school yesterday. Love the statement they make with her teal shoes!

Xcountry

On a very warm 89 degree fall afternoon, Noah runs great and finishes the 2.44 mile course in 21:37.  His coach said if he cut his hair he might pick up a full minute or two.

Winning.

The game comes down to the final play but somehow the Broncos hold on and win 24-22.  Move to 1-1 on the season!

End of 3rd

A bit windy here at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Broncos still winning, but barly 17-15. Correction, now a Broncos touchdown and winning 24-15.

Halftime

Broncos winning 10-3...Broncos great Shannon Sharpe to receive his pro football hall of fame ring at half.

Gametime!

Made it to the game with Wes, Andrew and Devin today. Hoping for a better showing this afternoon, then the one on Monday night!

Stress

This came home on Monday in Sarabeth's Monday folder. Didn't know that a first grader has that much stress in her little life.

Monsoon!

Seeking shelter in the third quarter during a heavy downpour. I don't remember Kathy Saben saying anything about thunderstorms during the game. Broncos still losing, need some points!

Pre-game

Just enjoyed a nice pre-game ceremony honoring the victims of 9-11.  Very well done.  Game time!

16:30

Noah excelled in his second cross country meet of the year today down in Lyons. He ran a 13:20 last week in a mile and a half run.  Today he did 16:30 over two miles. The boys on the team are really running well this early in the season. Go Frontier!

9-10-11

Game night in our new home! Looks like Nathanael is winning the world domination part.

Tour de France

I will never ride in the Tour, might never travel to France to watch the Tour in person, but last week I was able to get pretty close. With the USA Pro Cycling Challenge wrapping up in Denver, Wheatridge Cyclery (http://www.ridewrc.com)hosted a very special fund raiser for Bicycles for Humanity ( http://www.bicycles-for-humanity.org ). World famous announcers Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen spoke for over an hour on B4H and shared several of their favorite stories from past Tours. I had invited Big Andrew as a belated birthday present. He had a great time and was able to get both their signatures and speak with them for a few quick minutes.

First Day 2011

FINALLY sent the kids back to school this week after the longest summer vacation in the history of man kind. Or maybe it just seemed that way. Sarabeth begins first grade, Nathanael third, and Andrew is "king" of the school as he starts fifth. The pictures of the kids at their desks were taken at back to school night, while the other two were taken on the first day of school.

Sarabeth

Had a nice little birthday party for Sis this week. She was thrilled with all the wonderful presents from her family. Lots of clothes, Barbie, and even a home made duct tape purse from Nathanael. She picked out a chocolate chip cookie dough cake from Baskin-Robbins to have for dessert.

Run!!

Noah ran by me so fast I could barely capture the moment on film, er, digital. Still waiting for an official time. He was upper middle of the pack.

Team

Most of the middle school boys cross country team. Results to follow....

Go!!

The start for the middle school boys cross country meet. Frontier is in red near the middle. The race is 1.7 miles.

Cross Country

We have arrived at the first cross country meet of the year. The current temp is 93 with a slight breeze. We are so proud of Noah and his desire to join cross county. His race starts at 4:40 and should cover about a mile and a half. Run like the wind Noah!!

Finally

Last night we were FINALLY able to have the ribbon cutting/back to school night at Frontier. The new lunch room and classrooms are really well done. It was fun for the kids to meet their new teachers and see their room. First day of school is only 6 days away!
